Sophie Bertrand

Manager in chief Gallica and French cooperation, French National Library (France)

Graduated with a Master degree at the Paris IV Sorbonne University, Sophie Bertrand worked for ten years (BIEF) as Project Manager. In this context, she actively participates in the bringing together of French and foreign professionals in the book sector. She has acquired solid experience in the cultural field, particularly in Asia and Europe. Wishing to focus her career on digital, she joined the French National Library in 2011. Then, she coordinated mass digitization by mobilizing hundreds of institutional partners around the Gallica project, the digital library of the French National Library. Since February 2013, she has been head of the department "Digital Cooperation and Gallica".
